Outdoor Journal Radio – April 01 2017
Angelo was kidnapped! We would not pay the ransom, and he’s surfaced in Manchester England.
Yes, it’s April Fools!
Actually this broadcast is a pre-recorded program, as Angelo is promoting carp fishing to the Brits in merry old England.
Speaking of carp, Len Perdic joins Angelo to talk about early season carp fishing. Len has fished the best spots in Ontario. He’ll share his favourite locations and some tips for lethargic fish in cold water. Angelo wants to find out the details about the new qualifier tournament for the World Carp Classic. The tournament will be held in Ontario later this year.
Dawn Whiteside is the Brand Manager for Coleman. Dawn has a special offer for listeners with a discount for online sales. Dawn and Angelo will preview the latest camping gear, including the “fast pitch” tents.
The steelhead are running the rivers of Southern Ontario. An early season tournament on Southern Georgian Bay will be the first of several. Jamie Ballard from Drift Kings will join Angelo with the details, and a discussion about the sucker prize.
Nick Doyle is Angelo’s guest on the Go Fish in Ontario segment. Nick is the owner of Rock’s Hunt Camp near Hornepayne. Just how good is the bear hunting? This is a favourite location for Keith Beasley from Canada in the Rough , Canada’s favourite TV hunting adventure program. The bear hunt is excellent and the fishing is superb!
