Outdoor Journal Radio – April 15 2017

It’s the Easter long weekend, and chocolate lovers are in their glory! Did you know that you can bribe kids with chocolate bunnies…Angelo has the details!

Spring is the time when the black legged ticks emerge from the leaf litter as tiny nymphs. They can bite and spread the bacterium that causes lyme disease. Dr. Bug…Curtis Russell, from Public Health Ontario, will join Angelo to talk about the risks of contracting lyme disease in the spring.

Do you need to upgrade your motorhome? Are you about to take the leap and buy your first unit? Tom Stoate will join Angelo from the Hitch House, located just north of Barrie. Tom has a field full of units, including some of the most elaborate and expensive on the market!

Maybe you would like to try the RV experience but you’re not sure if you should buy! Tyson Alexander from Motorhome Escapes Canada will join Angelo to talk about the choice of rental units and the costs for a week’s holiday.

Registration is open for the all new Triple Crown Championship bass tournament series. Ben Woo is the mastermind behind the series, which builds on the success of the Berkley B1, held on Lake St Francis. There are some great prizes up for grabs, for the top performers. Can Ben persuade Angelo to take up the challenge?

Steve Hartle from Big Hook Wilderness Camps, joins Angelo on the Go Fish in Ontario segment. This is the trip of a lifetime to a fly in, remote wilderness camp, for trophy walleye and northern pike.
