Outdoor Journal Radio – December 15 2018

Times winding down for your Christmas shopping…with just a few days to go. Angelo suggests that you check out the line of Garmin watches.

Ashley Rae loves to fish. Ashley and her fishing partner Erik Luzak won the Fishing League Worldwide Canada Cup on the Bay of Quinte, earlier this year. Angelo and Ashley catch up, and talk about winter fishing.

Who let the dogs out? Chocpaw Expeditions are off and running with their dog sleds, on the west side of Algonquin Park. Matt Curran is hitching up the team but
takes a few minutes to talk about the adrenalin rush that new mushers experience.

On the Go Fish in Ontario segment, we’re headed to 3 Mile Lake in Muskoka for some jumbo perch and walleye fishing. Barb Porter from Muskoka Shores
Cottages joins Angelo with an update on snow and ice conditions, and a long list of winter recreation options for the whole family.

Minister of Tourism, the Honorable Michael Tibollo, joins Angelo for a discussion Destination Ontario and the government’s program to support festivals and events. Angelo will ask the Minister about his plans for 2019.
