Outdoor Journal Radio – July 29 2017

John Kaplanis from the Northwestern Ontario Sportsmen’s Alliance in Thunder Bay joins Angelo. This will be a wide ranging discussion about the moose population, fall moose hunting, the proposed “modernization” of the Outdoors Card, and the latest news in fishing!
There are some excellent walking, hiking and biking trails in the nation’s capital. The federal parkland managed by the National Capital Commission connects the City of Ottawa to Gatineau Park. Sylvie Aspirot from the NCC, joins Angelo to talk about weekend getaways for bikers and hikers.

On the Go Fish in Ontario segment Mackie van Zyl will join Angelo from Blue Haven Lodge on Lake Temagami. Just over an hour north of North Bay, Lake Temagami has some of the best bass, walleye and lake trout fishing in Northeastern Ontario.

Dr. Marie Holowaychuk the “pet vet” joins Angelo to talk about racing dogs on coke, and what it’s like to be a hot dog in a vehicle on a sunny day.
