Outdoor Journal Radio – June 17 2017

Ian Gilson from the Canadian Safe Boating Council joins Angelo to talk about booze and boating. This deadly mix, is the cause of accidents and fatalities on the water. As we approach the summer holiday season, the CSBC want to stop drinking and driving on the water.

How do you protect your dog from the bugs? Dr. Marie Holowaychuk is the Pet Vet and she joins Angelo with advice about repellants and the best way to keep the biting insects at bay.

On the Go Fish in Ontario segment, Angelo will be joined by Ryan Gallagher from Nanmark Cottages on Callander Bay on Lake Nipissing. This is a modern cottage resort with all the amenities, and a million dollar view.

Lake Nipissing is known for great walleye fishing, but very few people talk about smallmouth bass. Rob Hyatt operates a fishing charter business on the lake and he says the fishing is outstanding. As a tournament angler, Rob knows bass and he shares some tips with Angelo on the show.
