Outdoor Journal Radio – June 30 2018

It’s the Canada Day long weekend broadcast!
Vito Cirone from Sure Thing salmon charters on Lake Ontario, is gearing up for the Great Ontario Salmon Derby. The derby begins on July 7th. Angelo will get a report on the early season fishing, and will this be the year that Vito boats the top fish in the derby?

Dave Mercer is star of the TV program the Facts of Fishing. Dave also is the host of the Bass Masters Classic and Bass Master Elite Series of tournaments, in the U.S. Dave is just back from Wisconsin with some thoughts on the Canadian boys on the circuit.

On the Go Fish in Ontario segment, John Langford from Voyageur Quest has some great stories about fishing on the Northwest side of Algonquin Park. The smallmouth bass fishery is virtually ignored. Voyageur Quest is an award winning ecotourism operator with a small lodge and outpost cabin.

Mike Brown from Leisure Marine in Woodbridge joins Angelo with the Canada Day specials on Princecraft boats with Mercury motors.
