Outdoor Journal Radio – March 02 2019

The Toronto Sportmen’s Show kicks off on March 13th and runs through March 17th at the International Centre. The Fish’n Canada team will be there and broadcast live, from 10 am till noon. Woofjocks will also be there with an outstanding team of doggie performers lead by Karen Sanford. Karen joins Angelo to talk about the jocks and their schedule.

Research led by Dr. Bruce Tufts from Queen’s University shows that the bass season starts during the peak of bass spawning. Should the season dates be adjusted, and where does the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry stand on this conservation issue? Dr. Tufts will offer his views on this matter. On the Go Fish in Ontario segment Angelo will talk to his good friends at the Chippewa Trading Post in Sault Ste Marie. Orest Witiw is the fishing expert at this iconic landmark, and he shares some hot tips on how to find the best fishing in the region.

Is Montana for sale? The online petition to sell Montana to Canada for $1 trillion has 15,000 signatures. Angelo wants to find out what Canada will get if we take a deal. He will be joined by The Captain, Downrigger Dale and Deadeye Denny from the Montana Outdoor Radio Show. Be careful Angelo, these guys are tough as whalebone, and grizzled veterans in the outdoors.
