This is the Easter weekend holiday broadcast.

A recent summit on Asian carp, pulled together the experts to update the status of this invasive species and to consider what we should be doing about them. Nick Mandrak from the University of Toronto was a presenter at this summit and will update Angelo on the status of the carp invasion.

Tim Carriers joins Angelo to talk about the upcoming ‘Host A Veteran’ salmon derby on Lake Ontario. This will be the 9th year for the one day challenge in support of injured veterans.

Eagle Lake in Northwestern Ontario is famous for its world class muskie fishing. Gord Bastable from Vermilion Bay Lodge joins Angelo with his views on what makes this lake a muskie factory, and why the fishing is so good for smallmouth bass and northern pike.

Scientists at the University of Calgary experimental imaging lab, have developed a novel way to detect concussions. Dr. Jeffrey Dunn has the full story of a “cap” that
can save time and money for athletes and others, following a head injury.
