Outdoor Journal Radio – September 2 2017

Amanda Lynn Mayhew is the northern girl that moved south, and is making her mark as a spokesperson for women in fishing and hunting. Amanda will join Angelo to share her plans for fall hunting trips.

John Teljeur is a long time friend and tourism specialist from Haliburton. Angelo wants to know more about the Big Fish Tournament and the plans for a major pond hockey championship in February.

As Pete and Angelo get psyched for the Berkley B1 bass tournament later this month, organizer Ben Woo puts the final touches on the program. Ben joins Angelo with an update on the first two stages of the B1 series and what to expect on September 23rd when the best bass fishermen take to the water.

Let’s go camping with Bob Sexton from Outdoor Canada magazine. Bob and his young family spent time at Silent Lake Provincial Park this summer, and he shares the experience with us.

On the “Go Fish in Ontario” segment, Leslie Clarkson joins Angelo from Scotsman Point Resort on Buckhorn Lake. The fishing must be good if Muskies Canada host Wounded Warriors was at the resort last week, and in two weeks time there’s a major bass tournament on Buckhorn Lake.
